Neighbors Helping Neighbors:

The Lostine Firewise Film

This film tells the real-life story of the Lostine Firewise Community, weaving together the perspectives of residents, neighbors, and forestry and fire-fighting professionals, who all played a part in seeing the community through the threat of a large wildfire in 2022. The film shows what motivated residents to start their Firewise journey, what actions they took to be more Firewise, and how those actions played into everyone’s ability to respond to a wildfire when it threatened the community.
